Cannot load LogData from .dtsCSVLog File in Database because of Bulk load error

Oct 12, 2011 at 11:58 AM

Hi,

I've got a problem by loading the Logging Information from the dtsCSVLog File to the database.

The error is:

ERROR FOUND: Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "BULK" for linked server "(null)".

We looked at the dtsCSVLog File and found a row, without it, it works and with it I get the error.

It lookf like this:

OnInformation;;Name;;Name;;;;Data Flow Task;;{6d34bf23-7b5d-4cee-a4a0-30a07b3dd929};;Update Mapping Table;;{9924E1E7-C693-40DF-825A-623965C0DFFA};;2011-10-12T10:25:58;;2011-10-12T10:25:42;;Cleanup phase is beginning.;;<variables><variable name="..." value="200" /><variable name="\..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="SP" expression="..." /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="010" expression="..." /><variable name="\..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="s..." /><variable name="..." value="6526" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="s..." expression="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="\..." value="...t" /><variable name="..." value="..." expression="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="\..." value="...;" /><variable name="..." value="..." expression="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="...]" value="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="3" /><variable name="..." value="...;" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="...;" /><variable name="..." value="10" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="...]" value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="-999" /><variable name="..." value="0" /><variable name="..." value="n" /><variable name="..." value="...t" /><variable name="..." value="1181" /><variable name="..." value="False" /><variable name="..." value="1" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value=".." /><variable name="..." value="49" /><variable name="..." value="-1" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="\..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="\..." value=">=" /><variable name="\..." value="0" /><variable name="..." value="6133" /><variable name="..." value="True" /><variable name="..." value="49" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="4" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="True" /><variable name="..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="14" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /><variable name="\..." value="..." /><variable name="..." value="0" /><variable name="\..." value="1" /><variable name="\..." value="" /><variable name="..." value="" /></variables>;;<expressions><expression name="..." value="..." /><expression name="..." /><expression name="..." value="...." /></expressions>;;

I replaced in these example the variable names and values with dots, normally we also have long string values.

I also tested if I delete a part of the variables in the line then it works, then I can load the data.

So could it be that there is a maximum lenght to load data in the column variable?

Are has somebody another idea what's going wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

The new release and the new csvlog.fmt file solve this problem!

Thanks for that!
